I have been making wine from the hedgerows and from kits off and on for the last 20 years, depending where I was and the availability of materials, yeast etc. Can't get any of that there I am at the moment. However we have just bought a house in the Southampton area with a reasonably large garden in which I want to plant vines. I have grown grapevines before (for wine) but have always had to move before I could get a crop! This time next year I am retiring and staying put. I can see that there is a wealth of information on this forum which I intend to tap and absorb.
