I've got 14lbs brambles, mashed,to make 5 gallons.
My plan is to leave them for a week before I do anything else.
They are at the moment roughly spread into 3 x 2 gal buckets (the red ones with lids)
Only addition at the moment is 1kilo sugar in each bucket.
I have a 5 gal fermenter, but it only holds 5 gals !
Given that the musts contain a lot of solids, how do I get a specific gravity at the start...Still got to add 2/3 kilos of sugar, plus additives...pectolase, yeast etc.
