        Quick question?

        (I hope)

If I type a personal message, can I set it as a default NOT to keep a copy in my post-office-box?

Just had a quick "play" with the flash chatroom.

I wondered if it might not be better to have a separate IRC channel - It's a facility that I use regularly when I have problems with my system (erm I'm one of those scummy linux users).

I'd think it might be more handy that the flash version, because you can run an IRC client separately from the browser (in my case firefox) and I'm presuming that it would give you a prompt when someone replies to any question that you might post (ha! thats presuming that windows based IRC clients work exactly the same as their linux equivalent of course).

So you don't need to keep a browser open, just the IRC client in the background, if you're doing something else i.e. gaming or wp or whatever etc etc.

            It's just a thought!

            regards

Click the multi quote button in each of the posts you wish to quote and the reply button at bottom left of the screen

                regards

The flashchat runs seperately, so you can indeed have it running in the background, even after you log out of the forum, you can still use the chat function

                  hope this helps

Sure I understand that Bob, but that still means that you have to have a browser window open. An IRC channel doesn't use a browser or as many "resources" as the combined browser/flash requirement.

                      regards

I think I need to learn more about it then...

mainly because I'm using windows vista which is resource hungry beyond belief

                        cheers FB
