Hi I come from the New Forest, I brew the occasional cider but mainly beer. I only have two recipes I use at the moment, one is 4kg of pale malt and 100g of goldings hops and for a quick extract brew, 2kg of light malt extract, 200g crystal malt,1kg brown sugar, 4 sacharine tabs and 75+10+5 g goldings hops.
That usualy keeps most people satisfied although I have found a HopBack Summer Lightning recipe I plan on trying this week.
Hi all, newbie here. I saw your site link on another forum in Hippies signature line so doing what it was intended to do, I checked it out here. Hope to learn from another fine group. If Hippie recommends it, this has to be a fine group of winemakers.
Anyway, my name is Steve and I live in South Louisiana south of Baton Rouge in the USA as I think this is a UK site correct? I am a kit wine maker but really want to get into growing my own grapes and making my own wines. I will be limited to Muscadines and possibly Norton grapes but they make fine wines so I am looking forward to it. I hope I can make some good friends here and learn a little something along the way.
